Carl Albert Pieper Age 83, a life long resident of Speedway, IN, died Thursday,
May 6, 2004. He was born December 24, 1920 to the late Herman and Caroline
Pieper. Mr. Pieper worked for Allison General Motors for 46 years, retiring in
1985. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Navy on the USS Pennsylvania.
Hobbies he enjoyed were gardening, assembling and flying model airplanes,
traveling and square dancing. He was preceded in death by a son, Keith Pieper.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Lucille Rosemary Lantz Pieper;
daughters, Annette Hardin and Lynn Small; son-in-law, Douglas Small;
daughter-in-law, Cheryl Pieper; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 10, 2004 in Conkle Funeral Home,
Speedway Chapel. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 9, 2004 at the
funeral home. Entombment at Floral Park Cemetery.
